Full-Time Missionary, Part-Time Consultant

Today when I was crying on my way home from work, thinking about how painful things will become, and the worries I have about my career and future, God gave me four words.

Full-Time Missionary, Part-Time Consultant.

I guess it doesn't mean that God wants me to go full time in mission work. It's a gentle reminder for me that we are all called to be first, a missionary, and everything other than that is second. Be it work, personal goals, personal interests.

Full-Time means all the time. 24/7, 365, we should be ambassador of Christ. What does it take to be ambassador of Christ? To obey God's Word, to be Christ-like, to be all the Fruits of the Spirit. To be loving, hopeful, kind and patient. Forgiving and understanding. 24/7. 365.

Part-Time means part of the time. Be it a 8 to 5 or 9 to 6 job. Your job is just your job. It is part of your life, and it is not your life, never should be. It's just something you do, it shouldn't consume you. Your love for God should consume you. The Spirit of God should consume you. Not your career.
